
We recently wrapped up our free 12-week weight loss programme at our gym, and one of the standout success stories came from a participant who not only lost a significant amount of weight but also gained strength, energy, and confidence. At the end of the programme, we had the chance to sit down with Sarah and learn about her journey, motivations, and experiences. Here’s a glimpse into her inspiring transformation.
Q. What motivated you to sign up for the competition and start this journey?
A. A friend told me about the competition and programme, and after a rubbish few years being poorly and letting my health and weight get worse, I realised enough was enough. If I didn’t go for this opportunity, I probably would never have had the chance again.
Q. How did you feel when you first started the programme?
A. I was very nervous and apprehensive but was quickly put at ease and given the confidence to sort myself out! After my first workout, my nerves immediately turned to excitement.
Q. What part of the programme did you enjoy the most or find the most helpful?
A. The help and tips with nutrition and eating habits, and learning a little about how to build muscle up have been the most helpful. I’ve enjoyed training sessions with Rad, although I found it hard at times—it’s been the push and boost of confidence I needed to show me I’m capable of doing this.
Q. What part of the programme did you find the most challenging?
A. I’ve enjoyed the programme from start to finish. The whole thing has been a challenge, but one that I needed. I’ve had so much support, it’s made it so much easier.”
Q. How do you feel at the end of the 12 weeks?
A. It has only been 12 weeks, but for me, the change has been significant. I look forward to the next 12 weeks, 6 months, and so on! As well as losing over 15KG, I have noticed even day-to-day things have become less of a struggle. I’m doing more at home without it feeling like a big task. I don’t feel as fatigued as I did, and I am more motivated and energetic.
